Partisan

Partisan is a small, Black-led Community Interest Company, born out of a pull from the community for accessible and culturally sensitive mental health and wellbeing support, and a push from traditional systems that were not meeting the needs of our most marginalised and racialised communities.

Its vision is a world where power, knowledge and resources are shared — creating a more connected, just and equitable future. This means unlearning that current colonial and capitalist systems are fit for purpose, and relearning how to act, live and be.

Dr Nina Browne is a founding Director of Partisan and served as Chair and Learning Partner from 2020. She led the development of its learning strategy and culture, shaping an approach where learning is understood as leadership — a way of staying close to the work, noticing what’s emerging, and acting from that place.

As Partisan transitions to new leadership, Nina continues to support its evolution and the principles that shaped its beginnings: courage, collaboration and collective learning.
